The famous retreat of Shel brag in Lower Yar lung and the similarly widely known Sky Burial site (dur khrod) situated in the same mountain area of the Shel brag ri (see Fig. 2.). An older (pre-Buddhist) use of this dur khrod cannot be excluded as also not a parallel existence of bang so and exposing the corpse practices in the time of the Tibetan tumulus tradition (See also the page "Natural Tombs", in "thematic introduction")
